As evidenced by the photo above, things aren’t as hunky dory as they could be. After I finished yesterday’s post, it seemed the glitch was just a freak occurrence. Unfortunately, a while later it started going haywire intermittently, a minute of being fine, 10 seconds out of it, etc.
I hoped that by today it would be okay. It wasn’t. It didn’t go back to being good while I was there wanting to draw. So…I went to my brother’s house and ate delicious cake baked by my lovely sister-in-law Sarah. And now here I am, updating with a photo rather than a drawing, which totally doesn’t count.
I’ll add up how many posts in a row I got before totally failing at a more reasonable hour. Suffice to say, I’m pretty happy with how far I got; I thought I’d fail long before now. So in that regard, the 60 daily pictures was still a success; I’ve proved to myself that with a little determination and a little time management discipline it is not only possible but not particularly hard to draw with good regularity. This is something I wasn’t able to do back in highschool when I tried to do bi-weekly updates in an effort to force myself to draw more regularly. I owe a fair bit of my success to my life-coach Wes, who opened my eyes to the fact that I can achieve a lot if I don’t let myself dwell in mediocrity. I may not be doing all the things we talked about that I could do, but I’m leaps and bounds forward where it counts. 🙂

I’ll be back with another one…probably tomorrow. I’ll have to use my old intuos (or *gasp* paper) but that’s no reason to not go hard with what I’ve got. I’m currently composing an email to the supposed holder of my warranty to see what can be done about the cintiq. In the mean time I guess I wont be doing any full comic art like I’d wanted to..but I guess planning can still swing under way without too much of a hitch. Lets see where things take us; it’s all in God’s hands anyway. 🙂

Happy Easter everyone.
